Hi! Thank you for taking a moment to learn about what I do and how I can help you. My approach is informed by over 12 years of experience in community mental health and psychotherapy. I primarily utilize trauma-responsive practices such as mindfulness, cognitive processing, somatic therapy, emotional regulation strategies, and psychodynamic theory to get to the root of your pain and help you transform into a healthier, more authentic version of yourself.
Areas of focus include anxiety & depression, relationship issues, life transitions, body image, hormonal changes and chronic pain. An essential part of my work is helping people sustain the motivation to change and connect with their existing and sometimes hidden inner resources and strengths.
I have a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. I have also worked as a Behavioral Health Director at a Community Clinic in Los Angeles and as a Mindfulness Meditation facilitator in private and public settings with groups and individuals.
I love to bring lightness and warmth to my work. I find spontaneity builds connection and a sense of ease to a process that can often feel fabricated.
I provide in-person and online psychotherapy in English and Spanish to individuals, couples, and families.

Hay cosas que simplemente no se pueden traducir. Como mujer latina inmigrante nacida en Peru, entiendo y valoro la importancia de hacer este trabajo personal y profundo en nuestro idioma y con personas que puedan captar los matices culturales.
I relate with my clients openly and at a gentle, slow, and steady pace. Slowing things down allows for a clearer view of the stories, values, and beliefs that occupy our inner world.
I help cultivate a more present and mindful presence and model that in my work and therapeutic relationships.
I actively co-create a comfortable environment with the client to see and listen to all parts of themselves, ready to have a voice, wanting to be understood, challenged, and prepared for change. In my experience, a solid and genuine therapeutic alliance is the best starting point for a healthy relationship with self and others.
I offer a free consultation to make sure we are a good match. If it feels right for you, I look forward to your journey towards deeper meaning, reduced suffering and more fulfilling relationships. I do not accept insurance; however, I am happy to provide a monthly bill for you to submit to your insurance carrier.
